Drought and inflation have taken a toll on the people of Tanzania. We requested funds for food at harvest time last September, and the Lord provided for enough food to last several months. Now the food stores are dwindling, and prices have nearly doubled since last fall. Current market prices and amounts needed for the ministry are as follows:

• Cooking Oil (60 containers): $3,900

1 container (4 gal) costs $65

• Rice (100 bags): $10,000

1 bag (200 lbs) costs $100

• Corn (150 bags): $7,500

1 bag (200 lbs) costs $50

• Beans (100 bags): $9,000

1 bag (200 lbs) costs $90

• Repair of ChristHope Orphanage wall: $4,600 sent ($5,400 still needed)
• Fencing next to orphanage: $8,000
• CHO school uniforms and shoes: $2,600
• New library building: $21,000

• Arusha Crusade: $7,000
• New large generator for the Bible school campus: $12,000
• Tractor parts and seeds for planting: $4,000
• Stationery supplies and books for office and students: $5,000

• Motor oil and grease: $6,000
• Repainting of seminar hall and roof: $22,000
• Continuation of cement block wall around Bible school campus: $21,000
• Repairs to Washington house for female Bible school staff: $6,500
• Sunday school classroom behind Arusha church: $10,000 sent ($10,000 still needed)
• Wyoming house repairs: $2,500
• Medical bills for Bible school teacher’s wife whose leg was cut off in an accident: $1,000
